Stephen is the Chief Executive of Tamworth Borough Council, with a distinguished career spanning over 35 years in local government.  His expertise lies in housing, community development and strategic management. 

He has held several key roles including Director of Housing Management at Birmingham City Council, Executive Director of Communities and People at Oxford City Council, and Director of Housing and Communities for Malvern Hills and Wychavon District Councils.  His responsibilities have encompassed Strategic Housing, Homelessness, Community Safety, Health Improvement and Arts, Sports & Culture amongst others.

In addition to his executive roles, Stephen has served in numerous Non-Executive positions, including Chairman of the Communities Committee and Board member at the Accord Group and Independent Board member of Bromsgrove District Housing Trust.  Stephen is currently a Non-Executive at Community Housing Group.
